At the office of Dr. Stephen Johansen we are dedicated to the pursuit of providing the best that dentistry has to offer in a comfortable, slow paced environment. We are a small office that is privately owned by Dr. Johansen. We are not part of a large corporate dental chain.
Delivering quality family and cosmetic dentistry in a comfortable fashion is our main priority. Located just minutes off the freeway in Sandy, Utah we are able to conveniently treat dental patients from all over the Salt Lake Valley.
Choosing the right dentist can be a confusing and intimidating process. We hope that this web site will be informative and helpful in your decision. After seeing how we practice dentistry, we hope that you will give us the opportunity to care for you and your family for years to come.
Learning about the procedures we offer and seeing photos of work we have done will help you know what to expect and what we are capable of delivering. Many dental websites do not show photos of the doctor’s work, they are generic and do not demonstrate what level of care is provided. Nowhere in this web site will you find generic photos of dental work performed by other dentists purchased for advertising purposes.

Meet Dr. Stephen Johansen
Dr. Stephen Johansen, D.D.S.
Dr. Stephen Johansen was born and raised in Salt Lake City. After graduating from Hillcrest High School he attended Brigham Young University and received his Bachelors' of Science Degree in Biology. He then attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery. He also received the "Dr. Ridder Operative Award" which is given for excellence in Operative Dentistry.
Dr. Johansen has a private practice in Sandy, Utah. Since graduating in 2000 Dr. Johansen has completed numerous continuing education programs on all aspects of dental care. By pursuing this training, Dr. Johansen has developed the clinical skills necessary for treating simple to very complex dental problems.
Dr. Johansen provides dental care in a slow paced, relaxed fashion. Modern, quality oriented dentistry takes time and a meticulous approach, using the best in dental technology, optics, materials and labs. Dr. Johansen hopes that this practice style will attract patients that appreciate and share his philosophy.
Dr. Johansen and his wife Lindsay have been married since 2004 and they have three children.
